From the feedback I received from my last elevator pitch, I was
told to try to be more comfortable while giving the pitch. They said I seemed
stiff and did not really feel comfortable. While I was not nervous like the
first time, it seemed like I was just trying to get it over with and did not
want to do it. I also had a few lapses in my thoughts. This made me look
unprepared and I was told to try to fix that. I believe all of this feedback
was helpful. I did not think I seemed stiff when I made the second pitch, but
after watching it, I realized it was accurate.
Based on the video, I tried to get more into my elevator
pitch. I did not want it to seem like I was just forced to be there and wanted
to make it seem like I am passionate about what I am doing. I tried to make
sure I only included the absolutely important details so I do not lose my train
of thought. After making an elevator pitch for the third time, I did realize
that I had the pitch basically memorized, I was more comfortable in front of
the camera, and the pitches got better as I went.
Hey Joe,
ReplyDeleteGood work on your third pitch. I haven't seen your first two but it seemed like this one went pretty well. You seemed pretty relaxed and like you knew the material. I would maybe recommend setting the camera down in a fixed position and recording from in front of it - thus giving the video a more audience oriented perspective. By doing the video like that you will be given the chance to do meaningful hand gestures and that can really help elevate a presentation to the next level.
Hi Joe,
ReplyDeleteI really like your business concept. I love my dogs and I want nothing but the very best for them. I know the pet food industry has a reputation for deceiving consumers, so this is a very practical concept. As far as your elevator pitch, the content was pretty vague and not really executed like a genuine “pitch” you would give to potential investors. Great job!
